The Bored Ape Yacht Club is taking its blockchain Bodega to the streets of Hong Kong for Ape Fest 2023 and every verified Made By Apes business is invited to ape in and apply!
A day after the BAYC opened the digital doors to its Made By Apes Bodega, the club announced that its going to be setting up an in real life Bodega at Ape Fest 2023 that will be filled with foods, clothing and collectibles that are Made By Apes!
“Call for submissions for a chance to be featured in the IRL Made by Apes Bodega at Ape Fest Hong Kong,” Yuga Labs’ Community lead Spicy Tinaa tweeted. “Spots are limited, but we'd love to display as many community brands as possible. Drop your MBA # and a product shot below & we'll get in touch with a form for next steps.”
Apes who are interested in having their business featured at Ape Fest must reply to Spicy Tinaa’s post by tomorrow, September 15th, and have the ability to send a small number of items to Hong Kong by next month regardless of whether or not they can attend the event in November.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC’s parent company, Yuga Labs, teamed up with Saasy Labs earlier this year and launched the Made by Apes program.
“Made by Apes empowers holder-creators of BAYC and MAYC NFTs by verifying, supporting, and amplifying goods or services they offer using their BAYC and MAYC NFTs,” Yuga Labs wrote on the Made By Apes Website. “The Made by Apes program authenticates that licensees own a BAYC or MAYC NFT and grants a license to use the Yuga-made Made by Apes logo in connection with their products or services.”
The goal of the Made by Apes program and licenses is to give Apes' products and services more legitimacy and exposure as Yuga Labs confirms via on-chain data that they are, in fact, 'made by Apes!
At the time of this article’s publication, there are 194 Made By Apes business in the program and hundreds more are in the process of being accepted.
