Yuga Labs CEO Garga Needs An Unreal Dev Shop In South Korea For Unannounced Otherside Experience, Teases Additional Project By CryptoVonDoom. Here's What We Know:
From the swamp to South Korea, something in brewing on the Otherside!
On Friday, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the timeline to announce that he is looking for a South Korea-based Unreal dev shop to work on a new Otherside experience.
“looking for a capable Unreal dev shop in Korea to work on an Otherside ODK experience that we think could do really well in that market,” he tweeted. “If anyone has any leads, hit me or @coolhaircut up :)”
At this time, we don’t knowwhat Garga and the Yuga Labs team are planning, but we do know that this unannounced experience is just one of many projects being worked on within the Otherside.
“There are a few experiences we want made in the ODK that require full dev teams," Garga tweeted. “Already been working on a killer experience with @CryptoVonDoom and @cmnd_line for a bit.”
While we don’t have details about this CryptoVonDoom created project yet either, we know that BAYC member CryptoVonDoom is the co-founder of Cmnd Line, a company that builds immersive Fortnite maps to "unite brands, athletes, and entertainers with the gaming community," according to its Twitter account.
“We’re happy to announce that starting today, the ODK Pre-Alpha has been expanded to the following 3D artists and developers from the Otherside community,” Yuga Labs wrote in Press Release at the time. “Along with our community developers, we’ve also invited select development studios to participate to focus on creating engaging games & experiences. We’ll continue to onboard more external development partners to help us push the limits for what’s possible with ODK.”
In the future, this ODK that Yuga Labs made available to CryptoVonDoom and others back then will be available to every Otherdeed holder.
“The ultimate goal of the ODK is to equip all Otherdeed holders with tools that allow them to seamlessly launch experiences on ApeChain using templates and blueprints,” Yuga Labs wrote. “While we are still some distance from achieving this, adding more developers—both from the community and external sources—will help expedite the process. We’ll also continue to invite more community developers to the ODK pre-alpha in the coming weeks."
As we wait for more information about these and other Otherside experiences and updates about the ODK, we know that the community will be returning to Otherside later this month for another episode of Project Dragon.
Then, later in 2025, Voyagers will journey to the Koda home world of Nexus, where Yuga Labs and BAYC member—and Mega Koda holder—Adam Weitsman will tell the tale of these mystical creatures.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow all things Otherside and will keep you updated as new information emerges. Stay tuned for updates!
