Yuga Labs' CEO,Daniel Alegre, Needs Your Help Naming His Bored Ape
Yuga Labs’ Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Alegre, took to Twitter today and asked the community to help him name his Bored Ape.
“I need to name my BAYC #3575 but can use your help,” Alegre tweeted. “I’ve narrowed it down to my four favorite options and will leave it up to the community to vote for what the name will be:”
The four names that Alegre narrowed the choice down to are Walt, Grumby, Pancho, and Aguy, according to his poll.
BAYC members and the broader Twitterverse have until tomorrow to cast their vote and help Alegre pick his Ape’s name. At the time of this article’s publication, over 1,000 votes have been cast, and Pancho is in the lead with 41.2% of the vote.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Alegre, who became Yuga Labs’ CEO in April, purchased Bored Ape #3575 last month for 50 Eth or $93,585 USD.
“To my kids: meet a new member of the family,” Alegre tweeted at the time along with a photo of his primate. “Proud to Ape into BAYC #3575. Does #ApeFollowApe still work?”
Bored Ape #3575 is a six-trait dark brown fur primate with a black tee, scumbag glasses, and a Sea Captain’s Hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #3575 is the 7987th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Alegre and will let you what the community decides to name his primate tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for updates!
