Yuga Labs Announced That Its Legends Of The Mara Game Will Be Going Mobile And Will Be Open to Everyone After This Season!

Yuga Labs announced that Legends of The Mara season three will be the last time that Voyagers play this tight knit iteration of the game before they make it open to everyone later this year!

On Monday, Yuga Labs Gaming gave Voyagers the low down on the future of LOTM, announcing that season three will be the beta version of the game’s final season and that everyone will be able to ape in and play later this year.

 

“Season 3 of Legends of the Mara starts tomorrow,” Yuga Labs wrote in an eight part thread. “Some important updates before we get back to the hunt. Season 3 will last 8 weeks and end on May 7th. This will be our final season of the LoTM Open Beta. What’s next? Bringing LoTM to everyone. The full release of LoTM, launching in partnership w/@farawaygg, is an experience open to all, where Kodas reign as the captains, and Kodamara, Mara & Friends will round out the rest of your crew. The game will launch later this year, with playtesting kicking off after Season 3.”

 

Today’s announcement is an update to Yuga Labs’ January 30th post, where the company first announced that LOTM would be going mobile in the second half of 2024.

 

Following today's announcement, Yuga Labs' CEO Garga, assured the community that a mobile LOTM will be nothing like the Forge.

A mobile LOTM is the second mobile game that Yuga Labs is currently working on with Faraway Gaming Studio.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs is getting ready to launch a mobile and desktop version of Dookey Dash Unclogged before the end of quarter 1 2024.

LOTM and Dookey Dash Unclogged are not the only two mobile games that Yuga Labs is going to launch this year, according to Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer, Spencer Tucker, who previously told the paper that neither LOTM nor Dookey Dash Unclogged where the ‘mobile first cross platform game’ that Garga teased at ApeFest 2023!

At this time we do not know much about this unannounced third game, but we do know that Yuga Labs has been working on it for a while and that Apes, Mutants Dogs, and HV-MTLs will get to play!

“I know we just wrapped up forge, and we’ve had something under our belts for a while here," Garga said. "So, we have a partnership on a mobile first cross platform game coming in 2024 that’s been in development for over two years. I think it’s pretty sick and I think we are going to have a lot of fun all together. And don’t worry, it's skill based and there’s no voting. And obviously Apes Doggos, HVs, and mutants are coming along for the ride. We’re stoked for that.”
