WINNERS: The ApeCoin DAO Elected David_Crypto And Dim To Be Its Metaverse Working Group Stewards!

The ApeCoin DAO decided it wanted David_Crypto and Dim to lead the coin into the metaverse and beyond last night as $Apes took to the polls and elected them to be the community's first-ever Metaverse Working Group Stewards!

After a hard fought election season that came down to the wire, 386 ApeCoin DAO Contributors and subcommunities cast over 42,199,000 coins in this Metaverse Working Group race.

 

When the polls officially closed at 9 P.M. EST, the community elected David_Crypto and Dim to be its first Metaverse Working Group Stewards, with 15 million and 14 million coins cast for each of them, respectively.

 

As the ApeCoin DAO’s Metaverse Working Group Stewards, David and Dm will be tasked with being the connection between the DAO and creators and also look into partnership oppurtunities, according to Current Special Council member and Co-Creator of the Metaverse Working Group, Waabam.

 

“When we put it together, we envisioned that this working group would be the connection with the content creators in the DAO,” Waabam said on an ApeCoin DAO space in November. “That could look like supporting people who want to build in Otherside, but it could also look like supporting people in Web3. The other piece of this AIP that we would like to see it create opportunities for partnerships.”

Following their wins, the two Steward-Elects took to Twitter and thanked the community for its support!

 

“I will start my work soon and talk with Dim about the plans, David told the Gazette after his tweet. “Let's do some changes and make a better DAO together  We'll build a better metaverse future for DAO.”

 

Dim echoed David’s comments and thanked the community for an incredible night and election season.

“I'm excited to start working and looking forward to build a great builders community,” Dim told the Gazette. “I want to say a big thank you to the voters for giving me their trust!”

 

David and Dim will officially begin their terms as the DAO’s Metaverse Working Group Stewards on January 1st, 2024.

 

Once in office, David and Dim will receive a two month operating budget from the Governance Working Group to kickstart their committee.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Metaverse Working Group does not have a budget allocated to it so any additional funding the committee receives will need to be approved by a DAO wide vote.
