WELCOME ABORED: Abstract Invites Bored Ape Yacht Club Members To Join Its Discord And Upcoming Incentive Program!

The Abstract Chads, a team building a consumer crypto chain, invited the Bored Ape Yacht Club community to ape into their Discord and join a growing ecosystem aiming to bring crypto mainstream!

Mutant Monday was insane around the swamp after Abstract, a consumer-focused blockchain emphasizing community, creativity, and culture, extended an invitation to BAYC members to join its Discord as “Elite Chads” and participate in the layer-2 blockchain’s incentive program once Abstract launches.

For those unfamiliar, Abstract is a layer-2 blockchain focused on addressing consumer crypto issues, created by Pudgy Penguin’s owner, Luca Netz.

“Crypto today mirrors the early 2000's internet boom,” Netz wrote in an Abstract blog post on September 2nd. “In the first decade of that era, innovative infrastructure companies emerged, but few gained widespread adoption. Over time, only those that managed to achieve breakthrough adoption survived and thrived. Crypto is now at a similar crossroads. After 10 years of building foundational infrastructure, it’s time for the industry to break through to the mainstream. However, the narrative around crypto is fragile. Currently, the space is dangerously veering towards a reputation as a haven for gambling and financially risky behavior. As more people experience losses, the perception of crypto as a scam for degenerate gamblers solidifies in the public consciousness. While this may be a meme to crypto natives, it’s a very real concern for the general public and, unfortunately, is the current narrative around crypto. After Abstract’s invitation to Apes, many in the BAYC community took to the timeline and thanked them for the invite and others  said that they loved seeing collaboration between Apes and Pudgys.
