If you want to build things that delight, experiment onchain, and create meaningful communities, then ApeChain is for you!

On Thursday, the Web3 world took to the timeline for the first-ever ApeCon Online ApeCoin Conference and Builders Competition, which kicked off with a keynote Q&A interview with Yuga Labs CEO Garga who encrouged everyone to ape in to ApeChain!

The interview began with Garga highlighting the community ethos of ApeChain, likening it to the early days of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

“If you come here and you do something cool with NFTs, the doors will really open for to you to something fun,” he said. “ApeCoin and ApeChain were born out of the spirit that drove the Bored Ape Yacht Club. “The desire to do fun stuff on chain and build a community.”

Since launching in October 2024, ApeChain has become the unofficial home of NFTs, with longtime BAYC artists creating new collections and newcomers ape-ing in to show what they can add to the ever-growing ecosystem.

During his keynote, Garga said he views ApeChain as a great unifier that BAYC members, the ApeCoin DAO, and the entire Yugaverse can get behind and build together.

From unique mints like James Hall’s Gobs On Ape, with its placing hands mechanics, to ApeChain's proof-of-work Mines by Uncle Mac, Apes have been busy buiulding and Garga hopes even more creators will push the boundaries of onchain innovation with NFT primitives, social experiences, games, experiments, SocialFi dApps, and more.

“Have fun, do something crazy,” he said to the audience. “If it delights you it will have the possibility to delight everyone else.”

Garga closed out his keynote by encouraging anyone interested in building on ApeChain to reach out , DM him or the team, join Spaces, and connect with this anything but boring community.

“There are a lot of ways in and we’d love to have you.”
