VOXEL VIBES: Yuga Labs Gave Voyagers A Closer Look At Meetropolis

After 40 Voyagers got to explore the voxel world of Meetropolis over the weekend, Yuga Labs released a new highlight reel feautirng some of the most !Meeb’in stuff from this Otherside city!

On Monday, Yuga Labs took to social media and shared another video from the company’s second Otherside Focus group event in Berlin.

“In our second Otherside Test Group, Meebits and Voyagers explored a new island of Otherside, Meetropolis, and we gained valuable feedback from the community,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account along with a 69 second video. “Next stop: Hong Kong.”

In Yuga Labs’ highlight reel, the company showed off Block Beach, a museum filled with the Shattered bones, a skatepark, and a sprawling main street that gives off Times Square voxel vibes!

“Such a cool video,” Meebits Holder Marcel Strelow tweeted. “Love seeing 14709 and all the other Meebits slide rails and fly through Meetropolis again Can't wait for the next time!”

Strelow and other Voyagers will not have to wait long to visit the Otherside again. At the time of this article’s publication, Yuga Labs is planning to have a digital ApeFest experience from Otherside that coincides with the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s in real life Hong Kong event next month.

After the Yuga Labs’ Otherside ApeFest event, Voyagers can expect more trips to the metaverse going forward.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs’ CEO, Daniel Alegre, recently announced that Yuga Labs was going all in on the metaverse.

“We are going all-in on our Otherside strategy,” Alegre said in a recent company email. “Every ongoing digital connection will be part of and reinforce the Otherside evolution. This encompasses gaming, entertainment experiences, interactive social connections, and a range of unique initiatives coming from Eric Reid and team.”
