UP NEXT, A NEXUS TEASE: Yuga Labs Posted A Photo Of A New Koda Character That Will Play A Role In Otherside’s Story!

Up Next, A Nexus Tease. The Web3 world just got a new glimpse at the mystical forces shaping the Otherside, and met an all-new Koda character set to play a role in the metaverse when it launches this year!

On Wednesday, Yuga Labs shared an image of a floating Koda in front of what appears to be a portal, tweeting: “Chaos breaks worlds .Soma rebuilds them.”

 

After this post, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the Otherside Discord to clarify that this Koda is not one of the 10,000 Kodas in the official collection but rather a new character tied to the world’s larger story.

“That's an NPC Koda that plays a role in the Nexus story,” Garga explained. “Mix of traits not in the 10k collection.”

 

At this time, little is known about this Koda, but Yuga Labs has been teasing a larger story centered around the opposing forces of Chaos and Soma energies for weeks.

“There's an overarching meta story to Otherside, centered around Chaos and Creation,” Garga wrote in Discord last week. “The blue Soma energy that powers creation and building and the red and pink energies of Chaos and destruction. Each of the main islands have their own way that these things come into play.”

While the story remains under wraps, Yuga Labs has previously given the Web3 world a look at these forces in action in their Before Curtis Otherside teaser trailer from September 2022.

 

“In its prime, Nexus was illuminated by Soma, which is the creation energy you saw Blue bottling up in the Otherside B.C. trailer,” Garga wrote in an Otherside Discord post back in January. “But chaos, the other energy we see in the trailer and throughout Otherside, has really fucked the place up these days.”
