TOP TRADERS: These Bored Ape Yacht Club Members And Absolute Chads Won Yuga Labs' First Ever TopTrader Game!

It was an absolute bloodbath at Token 2049 today, with Apes getting liquidated left and right on the trading floor during the debut of Yuga Labs’ TopTrader game. But, two Chads, with a bit of luck and a lot of over-leverage, hit it big and won tickets to next week’s Formula One race!

On Wednesday, 150 $Apes and Apes channeled their inner trench warriors, cranked up the leverage to 100x, and did their best to navigate the "schizo" chaos of the Yuga Labs Workshop Team’s first ApeChain game, TopTrader.

 

Minuscule moves wiped out portfolios quickly, and Ape after Ape found themselves and their bloodlines generationally wrecked in this simulated trading experience.

 

Where others failed, BAYC members Zenden and NFT Unker succeeded, turning their initial 25 $APE portfolios into $250,865 USD and $122,222, respectively!

 

“Too be honest I do not have any strategy,” TopTrader’s top trader Zenden told the Gazette. “I’m just enjoying the game / trading platform. It was easy and nice to use.”

 

Before today’s game, Zenden shared that he had experience with leverage trading and knew to be cautious, as liquidations come fast. “Too be honest, if you’re doing 1000x, it’s going to be real fast,” he explained. “It can happen in seconds.”

Like Zenden, the second-place finisher, NFT Unker, also had no set strategy and simply enjoyed the highly leveraged ride.

“I would say I got pretty lucky to be honest,” NFT Unker told the Gazette.. “Just managed at the start to stay alive while many were getting liquidated which provided lots of excitement as well. I  built a good lead eventually as the clock ticked down. I definitely took less risk as the minutes ran out.”

 

Just like real memecoin trading, whether it was luck or skill doesn't matter when it comes to winning! After today’s contest, Zenden and NFT Unker are heading to the Singapore Grand Prix, courtesy of Yuga Labs and the ApeCoin DAO, for hitting it big!

 

“I want to thank all the people who facilitated this. Xeer, PPman, SpicyTuna, Sian and all the faciliators. It was awesome,” NFT Unker said.

 

 

TopTrader is set to launch on ApeChain later this year, and everyone around the swamp and the broader Web3 ecosystem will be invited to get in on the action.
