"THEY ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE": Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu Bought Ten Bored Apes& Four Mocas Yesterday!

Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu wasn't playing around yesterday as he swept the floors of both the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mocaverse, adding 10 more primates and four Mocas to his NFT collection!

After the floor price of the Bored Ape Yacht Club fell below 10 ETH for the first time in years, longtime BAYC member and builder Yat Siu purchased 10 Bored Apes and four Mocaverse Mocas for 120.97 ETH or $374,290 USD.

 

After his sweep, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Siu and asked him why he decided to pick up more primates.

“They are not going anywhere,” he told the paper. “Just my opinion that its incredible value for one of the most important cultural icons of our time in web3 and we should support the bayc ecosystem for all it has done for every participant in the space.”

 

Siu reiterated this point in a Tweet following his sweep and also gave the Web3 world his two Sats on the state of NFT marketplaces.

“Just added 10 amazing @BoredApeYC which in my opinion are a steal as one of the most important #NFTs of #web3 (+some @MocaverseNFT),” he tweeted.  “@blur_io has done a lot of damage to the #NFT space and IMO we all owe a significant debt of gratitude to the legend and the lore #BAYC has brought to our ecosystem. Its time for #ApesTogetherStrong again!”

 

Following yesterday’s sweep, Siu now holds 16 Bored Apes, 72 Mocas, one Mutant Ape, two CryptoPunks, five Otherdeeds, and a Bored Ape Kennel Club pup. Take a look a closer look at his collection below:
