The Window To Nominate Yourself Or Others For The BAYC Community Council Is Currently Open!

Things are anything but boring around the Bored Ape Yacht Club as the window for $Apes to nominate themselves or their friends for a spot on the club’s Community Council officially opened last night!

The BAYC Council, a committee of involved BAYC members established in October 2022 with the goal of collecting and sharing Apes' and Mutants' perspectives on the club with Yuga Labs and empowering community members, is looking for three Apes to join its ranks in 2024.

“The 2024 BAYC Council nominations form is now live via tokenproof,” the council tweeted. “Please follow the link to submit your nominations. Deadline to submit is this Friday, 2/16 by 11:59pm.

During this tokengated nomination period, BAYC members will be able to nominate themselves or others for three different open positions: 1. Co-Lead, this Ape will act as a committee leader. 2. Made By Apes Liaison, this Ape will be responsible for finding ways to support and connect Made By Apes businesses. 3. Clubhouse and Events Liaison, this Ape will be responsible for setting up events between local BAYC communities and Yuga Labs!

From there, Yuga Labs will review the nominations and present the community with a shortlist of three candidates to choose from for each position.

“We encourage Apes to include rationale around nominations so the Yuga team can get a full picture of the best candidates to shortlist,” Yuga Labs wrote. “We know there is a ton of amazing and diverse talent in the Club and we want to make sure even those who are not as vocal on social media are equally considered.”
