The Sandbox Added Meebits To Its Metaverse

Another Yuga Labs NFT brand has made its way into the Sandbox’s metaverse.

On Wednesday the Sandbox announced that Meebit holders are now able to explore the voxel metaverse as their voxel characters.

“@MeebitsNFTs are entering The Sandbox,” the company tweeted this morning. “Now, you can play #SandboxAlphaS3 as your Meebit Avatar! Jump right in! #Interoperability in #Web3

Following the Sandbox’s announcement, Meebit holders took to Twitter and shared images of their NFTs exploring the voxel metaverse.

Meebits are the 19th NFT collection that has been added into the Sandbox metaverse, according to the game’s website.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Sandbox added voxel versions of every Bored Ape into its world on August 22nd.

“In the #metaverse, be who you want to be,” the Sandbox tweeted on August 22nd.. “Jump into #SandboxAlphaS3 as one of over 140,000 PLAYABLE AVATAR #NFTs! Own the #NFT - Play with the Avatar - for free!”

Along with releasing voxel versions of Apes and Meebits, the Sandbox is also hosting the BAYC’s Miami 2035 event that was created by CryptoCitiesDev.

“The Miami 2035 experience is a first look of what’s to come inside the BAYC x Sandbox social hub,” CryptoCitiesDev’s TropicalVirtual.Eth told the Gazette earlier this week. “Players will complete mini-games while also interacting with the environment to learn of future utility, integrations and games. There is still more environments to build out but this is the first step into the sandbox world for the Bored Ape Yacht Club.”
