The Rift Opens And The Hunt Begins On September 7th. Here's How You Can Participate:

The Rift is set to open next week and HV-MTL Holders and their Mechs who want to leave their HV-Homes in search of adventure, battle, and glory will need to see the Rift in their Forges in order to break on through to the mysterious beyond!

Change is in the air this season as the HV-MTL game is about to change from a ‘pet game and casual world builder’ to a ‘competitive dungeon crawler’ that features some combat eventually when the Rift opens and the “Hunt’ begins on September 7th.

In order to go through the Rift and participate in the next phase of the game dubbed the HV-MTL Hunt, players will need to build out their HV-Homes to the point that they can see ‘Rift’ on their board.

“Before you can go anywhere, you’ll need to get to the Rift,” the BAYC wrote in the guide. “This is the easiest part of your expedition: just build out your tiles into the fog of war (shrouded area) until the Rift Portal is in sight. Off you go.”

Note, players do not need to connect to the 'Rift,' they only need to be able to see it.

“One small change we made here is NOT requiring a direct connection to the rift,” Yuga Labs’ Social Lead Ngbshpend told the community earlier this month when asked how players can participate in the game going forward. “Just need to see it aka build out enough into the dark space. Hopefully this allows for easier entry and more HVs in the rift!”

If you are a HV-MTL holder who cannot see the Rift in their Forge yet, fear not. The BAYC recommends that Players who have and haven’t reached their Rifts yet should continue to ‘build up energy’ and ‘build out tiles’ because all of this will benefit them going forward!
