In between Easter egg hunts and 4/20 blazing on Sunday, the ApeChain ecosystem filled the timeline with their Mintotaurs as the mighty beasts finally came down the mountain!
A millennium after teaming up with the Gobs On Ape to vanquish an ancient evil, the Mintotaurs have risen, and taken over the timeline, as Phase One of the part-bull, part-man mint began.
“Black metal doors groaned open,” the Mintotaurs project tweeted this morning. “Heat washed over them. Inside: shadow, flame, and waiting eyes. The Ironbound stepped forward. His voice cracked through the silence— “Greetings.'"
Following the tweet, all 2,222 Gobs On Ape holders were invited to mint and meet their Mintotaurs via Blever’s launchpad.
Since Phase One of the Mintotaurs mint began this morning, 1,674 of the 3,333 beasts in the collection have already been claimed and they’ve been getting “seen” on the timeline ever since. Take a look at some Mintotaurs below:
Every Gobs On Ape holder is invited to mint a Mintotaur of their own between now and April 22nd. After that, Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Kodas, CryptoPunks, and BAKC holders, as well as several unannounced ApeChain and Ethereum based collections, will have the chance to mint a Mintotaur for free on a first come, first serve basis later this week.
