THE KAGAMI CONTINUES:Possible Acquired 10KTF From Yuga Labs! Find Out More:

The Kagami Continues. Yuga Labs announced that it is doubling down on ApeChain and Otherside as Possible, and Emmy Award-winning art and design company co-founded by Yuga Labs' Chief Creative Officer Michael Figge, acquires 10KTF to continue teling the Grailed's Web3 story.

This week’s 10KTF Thursday felt like a movie, with Yuga Labs revealing that the tale of Wagmi-San and the Grailed will now be told by the Possible team.

 

“Today, Possible acquires 10KTF. Together, they will form a new company – Kagami,” Yuga Labs announced in a seven part thread. “Possible is an Emmy award winning art and design company with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Aside from being the primary content partner of 10KTF since its inception, Possible has also been deeply involved with the development of Otherside.”

 

Following the announcement, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to social media, stating that this decision will allow Yuga Labs to focus on Otherside and ApeChain—which has been the company's focus since Garga returned to the CEO role in February 2024.

“Possible has been intimately involved in 10KTF from the start, and they've been great partners to Yuga, he wrote. “With this transition, we're able to double down on ApeChain and Otherside, two areas where we'll continue to collaborate closely with Possible and the 10KTF team, while also enabling 10KTF to explore new opportunities. Excited to see Wagmi-san's story evolve.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs acquired 10KTF and its parent company in November 2022.

Over the last two years, we’ve seen G-Tags evolve into the Grailed, partnerships with Gucci where people swapped digital scarves for physcial co-branded wallets and duffle bags, trips to Otherside, weekly 10KTF Thursday posts, lots of speculation, a now-defunct Puma collaboration, and more.

 

At this time, it is unclear where the story of Wagmi-San and the Grailed will go next. But, we do know that the Federation of Kagami will make an announcement at ApeFest. Additionally, 10KTF holders will continue to be part of Otherside, with New Tokyo and Wagmi-San’s shop being part of the metaverse when it becomes a reality!

“10KTF will continue to be a premier partner in Otherside. Wagmi-san’s shop will be on the Nexus, the next Yuga World," 10KTF tweeted. “The Grailed will remain native to Otherside and have access to its events. Crafted items in the ecosystem will become wearables, as you have seen with the flamethrower debuted as the first interoperable item in Otherside during Project Dragon. FKT will announce its season start date after the Apefest event. See you in Lisbon!”

 

Following today's acquisition announcement, the Grailed and the rest of the Yugaverse were invited to ape into an Otherside 10KTF experience, meet Wagmi-San, and explore the streets of New Tokyo.
