The Digital Art Movement Added A New Feature To The Website That Lets $Dam Stakers Collect Their $Ape Staking Rewards

The ApeCoin DAO-funded Digital Art Movement added a new feature to its platform yesterday that allows $Ape stakers to claim their $Dam tokens and $Ape rewards directly on the site.

Nine days after the Digital Art Movement launched on Ethereum and Blast, inviting $Ape holders to lock up tokens in exchange for $Dam, the project updated its platform making it easier for $Ape holders to claim their $Ape staking rewards while their tokens are locked, earning $Dam.

“We've added a way to directly claim your Apecoin rewards from http://app.damdao.org alongside your $DAMclaim,” the Digital Art Movement tweeted this morning. “1. Click "Claim APE" to claim rewards anytime into your Cyan wallet. 2. To move $APE to your Main wallet, click "Transfer to Main". Thank you to the @usecyanteam and @jeremyHD_eth for making this change quickly!”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO allocated 11 million $Ape to MachiBigBrother’s Digital Art Movement proposal last year.

With the funds, MachiBigBrother and the DAM team have purchased 153 Bored Apes, 19 Mutant Apes, and other NFTs. They created the $Dam token, which represents fractionalized ownership of the collection that $Ape holders can obtain by locking their $Ape for up to 5 years.

 

Along with giving $Ape holders the chance to own a piece of a high end NFT collection, DAM is also working to get NFTs showcased in schools, museums, and galleries around the world.

“Digital art remains underrepresented in the art world, I want to change this,” MachiBigBrother wrote in his proposal. “I want digital art to be omnipresent. By creating and curating the Digital Art Movement Collection (aka “The DAM Collection”), we can proliferate appreciation for digital art worldwide thus leading to education and adoption. There’s no better group of people than ApeCoin DAO members to cement our place in digital art history."
