The Creator Of Applied Primate Engineering Purchased A Mega Mutant Today For $1.3 Million USD

An insane deal took place at the Bored Ape Yacht Club today as one of the largest BAYC holders sold a Mega Mutant Ape for $1.3 million USD.

BAYC member MachiBigBrother sold Mega Mutant #30003 for 1000 Eth or $1.3 million USD to Fragmentsxyz.

Mutant #30003 is not Fragmentxyz’s first Mega Mutant Ape. In fact, this wallet holds three other insane Mega Mutants.

Many BAYC members may be more familiar with Fragmentxyz’s storytelling project, Applied Primate Engineering, and its creator BAYC member, PTM.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Applied Primate Engineering revealed an insane gold fur Mega Mutant Ape on the first night of Ape Fest 2022.

“This has been a long time coming and we’re so excited to share it with the community,” PTM previously told the Bored Ape Gazette after a gold fur Mega Mutant Ape was revealed. “We’re honored to continue to build our own space inside the universe built by Yuga Labs, we’re hoping AppliedPrimate and our 4 mega mutants will be a central part of this universe for many going forward. More to come from Applied Primate soon!”

It appears that today’s Mega Mutant purchase may be part of PTM and Applied Primate Engineering project’s future story going forward based on a recent Twitter thread.

Yesterday, Applied Primate Engineering took to Twitter and shared a 15-part thread that brought readers up to speed on the project and teased that something in brewing in the lab.

“Presently, Doc and the employees of Applied Primate Engineering are in the process of rebuilding the lab and restoring the systems of archived data to learn more about the Path, locate the Gold Mega Mutant and uncover their plans. Stay tuned: something is brewing in the lab,” they tweeted

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Fragmentxyz and Applied Primate Engineering and will let you know what they do next!
