The Bored Ape Yacht Club Teased An 3D Bored Ape Last Night And Apes Are Wondering What's Next?

Updated: Feb 8, 2022

Bored Ape Yacht Club Members theorize on what’s happening in the “lil tease” the club posted last night.

Yesterday evening, the BAYC released a Medium article that contained an animated image of a surprised looking Curtis.

“P.S. — The header image for this post? That’s something else… Can’t talk about that, Gordo will get mad,” the club wrote in the post.

While it is unknown what the animated image is apart of, BAYC members have theorized that this could be a still image from a Super Bowl commercial.

“Love the FOMO sign in the background, BAYC Member Carson tweeted. “Looks like a #SuperBowl ad to me.”

While some think the image could be a tease for an upcoming Super Bowl ad, others have speculated that the image could be a tease for the next part of the BAYC Roadmap 2.0.

“Pupils dilated. Ears pinned back. Mouth agape. What's emerging from the swamp,”BAYC Member Cosmo tweeted. “Golden $APE coins? Radioactive mega mutant? Or is Jimmy the Monkey back on his bullsh!t causing trouble?”

One other possibility is that this image is teasing BAYC members 3D modeled apes.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC has been working on free 3D models of every ape and mutant for months.

“Every single Bored Ape and Mutant ape will receive a free, fully rendered and rigged 3Dmodel that they can use in the metaverse,” Gargamel posted in the Discord Announcement section on 8/29. “We’re working with Polygonal Mind to accomplish this, and given the sheer number of traits, it’s going to take a few months, but we’re really excited. Attached are some work-in-progress renders.”

While we do not know what the club is teasing, BAYC Member MetaverseMogul pointed out an interesting connection between this animated image and front page of the BAYC’s website.

“That still is from the front of the Yacht club,” MetaverseMogul wrote.”@BoredApeYC Can't wait to see it.”

In the still image, the viewer can clearly see a neon pink fomo sign lit up behind Curtis. That is the same sign that can be seen on the front page of the BAYC website.

For now, all apes can do is speculate and wait for the club to release more information. The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this story and let you know when more information becomes available.
