The BAYC Announced The First MAYC Merch Drop. What You Need To Know:

Last night, the Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that it will have its first Mutant Ape Yacht Club merchandise drop this Friday.

BAYC Founder Gargamel posted in the group Discord Tuesday evening announcing the exclusive MAYC merch drop.

“Hey @everyone,” Gargamel posted in the announcement section. “Excited to announce that we'll be having a **MUTANT APE YACHT CLUB** merch drop this Friday, 10/22, for MAYC-holders only. We wanted to do an exclusive MAYC-ONLY drop before we begin tiering the drops for the broader ecosystem.”

Like the previous BAYC merchandise drop, the majority of the items in the MAYC merch drop will be available to any MAYC member who wants one. The window to purchase the MAYC items will begin on Friday 10/22 at 1 p.m. and will go on until Monday 10/25 at 2:59 a.m. EST.

The MAYC merchandise drop will feature tees, hoodies, dad caps, posters, and beanies that will be available throughout the drop. Mutant apes can order up to 2 of each item. There will also be 1,000 limited edition skateboard decks for sale, according to the club.

The Bored Ape Gazette recommends members who want the skateboard deck make their purchases early. Based on Previous BAYC drops, the limited quantity mech sells out fast!

Mutant Apes that are interested in participating in the merch drop will need to obtain a password to enter the drop. Mutant Apes can get their password starting on Thursday at 1 p.m. at https://boredapeyachtclub.com/#/merch. Mutants can obtain a password anytime during the merchandise drop.

After getting the password, Mutant Apes will then head over to https://boredapeyachtclub.store/ during the drop window to purchase their merch!

After the merch announcement, some Bored Apes were concerned that this merchandise drop was limited to Mutant Apes.

“Basically the only difference in IG and MAYC is OG gets bathroom and MAYC gets merch,” BAYC member and Discord User Farmer messaged.

Gargamel then entered the discord and reaffirmed the Bored Apes standing in the club.“We have a lot in store for BAYC,” he messaged in response to Farmer. It is and will always be tier 1.”
