The ApeCoin DAO Said "Public Goods On ApeChain" Are Coming After Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin Stopped By The DAO's Booth At Token 2049!

The founder of Ethereum himself, Vitalik Buterin, stopped by the ApeCoin DAO’s booth at Token 2049 in Singapore earlier this week and checked in on the Ape ecosystem, which he doesn’t “hate” but has previously challenged to do more public good.

Things were rather $Ape-ish on Wednesday after Vitalik visited the ApeCoin DAO’s booth and tried his hand at winning an ApeKin plushie.

“It was crowded with media cover and a lot of eyes, everyone was around our booth, ApeCoin DAO Contributor Mister Hype told the Gazette. “I was explaining to vitalik how ApeChain has a unique approach in the L3 / L2 space; less farmer, more community chain. I really like that fact he was interacting with us for the first time and  was interested in getting to know about us going into layer industry.”

After Vitalik’s visit, the ApeCoin DAO tweeted that it would be bringing public goods onto ApeChain later this year, referencing the Ethereum co-founder’s previous tweet about Apes.

“Public goods coming soon TM  ON APECHAIN,” the Dao tweeted along with some photos Vitalik checking out the crane game.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Vitalik said in a March 2022 Benzinga article by Chris Katje that the goal of Ethereum was “not to play games with million-dollar pictures of monkeys.”

 

After the article’s publication, Vitalik took to Twitter to clarify that he doesn’t hate Apes but believes they should do more for the crypto world.

“I don't hate apes, I just want them to fund public goods, he tweeted on March 22nd, 2022.

 

 

This tweet prompted former ApeCoin DAO Special Council member Maaria Bajwa to write an Ape Improvement Proposal, which led to the DAO making a $300,000 USD donation to ETHGlobal and allocating $700,000 USD towards 11 ETHGlobal hackathons.
