The ApeCoin DAO's Governance Working Group Stewards Presented Their $685K Budget. Check It Out:

The ApeCoin DAO’s Governance Working Group Stewards presented their six-month $685,000 USD Governance& Operations budget earlier this week and they’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

After the ApeCoin DAO elected Amplify, TigerIsFine, and AllCityBAYC to be their first Governance Working Group Stewards in June, the three Apes posted their Governance& Operations budget on the DAO’s Discourse page on Monday.

In the Governance Working Group’s budget post, Amplify explained that the goal of this budget is threefold: 1. Make sure the day-to-day operation of the DAO run smoothly. 2. Explore the Dao’s sustainability and compliance options by partnering with research firms. 3. Empower the community to get involved with the DAO and build with $Ape.

“We put this budget proposal together to build a framework with growth and sustainability in mind,” TigerIsFine told the Gazette. “As Governance Stewards, we are entrusted with the opportunity and the responsibility of picking up where the previous administration left off. We spent hours speaking with community members and DAO experts to create our roadmap focused around operational efficiency, community engagement, financial sustainability and R&D that will help kickstart initiatives.”

While TigerIsFine, AllCityBAYC, and Amplify spent a lot of time coming up with this budget, TigerIsFine expressed excitement about receiving even more comments from community members now that the budget has been posted!

“Community feedback played a big role in our vision and the aspirations for the DAO's success,” she said. “The budget draft is now live on the Discourse forum and can be found in the AIP Ideas section where we continue to receive a ton of great comments and suggestions.”

Working Group Steward AllCityBAYC echoed TigerIsFine's comments and told the Gazette that this budget should not be seen as the end all be all for the DAO going forward, but instead it should be viewed as a ‘first pass’ by the community.

“This proposal really will help shape the future of ApeCoin DAO, so I encourage everyone to jump into Discourse and leave feedback,” AllCityBAYC said. “We’re still very much in the planning phase, and we are watching. There are also a few polls at the bottom of the prop that will help out, too.”

The Governance Working Group will keep the window for community comments open for at least a week and will extend it based on the community’s feedback.

If all goes well, Working Group Steward Amplify believes that this budget could go up for a DAO-wide vote by the end of the month.
