The ApeCoin DAO Is Looking To Fund Five Meebits Projects. Here's How To Apply:
If you’re an artist or builder that is looking to start off 2023 with a win, the ApeCoin DAO and the Meebits community has the perfect contest for you!
The second ApeCoin DAO funded Meebits PropHouse events kicked off today, and creatives from across Web3 are invited to compete for a 1,000 $Ape grant!
The goal of the house is to onboard more NFT communities to the Apecoin ecosystem,” the event’s description stated. “Anyone building something cool for the Meebits ecosystem can submit a proposal for funding , but only Meebit holders may vote for grant recipients.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO approved of a proposal, written by former Special Council member Maaria Bajwa, to fund several $Ape microgrants for Meebit builders.
“PropHouse serves as an auction of APE, where the bids are proposals,” Bajwa explained in AIP-110. “Rather than having the DAO vote yes/no on individual projects, PropHouse allows for a group of projects compete for a fixed grant size, with grants being awarded to the project(s) that receive the most votes. Prop House voters are typically NFT communities.”
The first round of the ApeCoin PropHouse event took place in November 2022 and the Meebit community decided to fund these three projects:
The deadline to submit an idea to the 2nd Meebits PropHouse event is January 9th, 2023.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Meebits PropHouse event and will let you know which ideas the community picks to fund. If you have an idea, you can submit it to the PropHouse competition here: https://prop.house/meebits/round-2
