The window to vote on Ape Improvement Proposal 78 has closed and the ApeCoin DAO has voted to reject the gaming proposal.
AIP 78 titled “Ape Worlds - Create Ape-themed games on the blockchain, no code required” was rejected by the $Ape holders with a final vote of 1,600,000 $Ape Against and 67,000 $Ape For.
“Ape Worlds is a no-code game experience using the Vy Worlds engine,” ApeCoin DAO member and AIP 78 author Fridayyy wrote in the proposal. “In Ape Worlds, any BAYC fan can take Ape-themed game-building blocks and create their own games. This would allow millions of fans to create and play games together in the BAYC universe and use ApeCoin as the currency of choice for Ape Worlds.”
The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Vy Worlds and asked what they plan to do following the AIP’s rejection but did not immediately hear back.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Vy Worlds and will let you know if they submit a new proposal to the DAO.
