TAKING FLIGHT: Moonbird Community Made Token $MOON Soars On ApeChain!

As $Ape holders continue building out the ApeChain ecosystem and token talk takes over the timeline, several Moonbirds community members have taken flight with an ApeChain coin of their own and invited fellow Birbs and frens from around the swamp to stretch their wings, pick up a shovel, and join them on a journey to the $MOON!

On Friday, Moonbird holders, BAYC members, and more received an airdrop of a new token called $MOON directly into their ApeChain wallets from the newly formed Moonbirds DAO.

This token represents both ownership and voting power within the Moonbirds DAO. The decentralized organization hopes $MOON will inspire Birbs across the Yugaverse to take flight and explore ApeChain.

“Moonbirds are builders, artists, and collectors, creating $MOON will provide a vehicle for these creators to interact and exchange value,” The MoonBird DAO wrote.

 

Since its launch yesterday, over 22,000 wallets have received or purchased $MOON and the coin has already soared to the top ranks of ApeChain, with a market cap of $306,000 USD, according to Dex Screener.

 

“The inspiration was to bring Moonbirds onto Apechain and start building,” Moonbird DAO Member Drew Barman told the Gazette. “We are bringing folks to ApeChain.”

 

Currently, $MOON tokens have been airdropped to Moonbird holders, Mythics, PROOF Collective members, Apes, and other community members. Check out the token allocation breakdown below:

At this time, the $MOON community is focused on ensuring every eligible member receives their tokens. Once that’s complete, they plan to select an initial DAO board to kickstart their building efforts, according to the token’s Twitter account.
