As the crypto market round-trips, Yuga Labs’ Gary the Dog Prophet shared a photo from his recent vacation to what looks like a boring version of Easter Island, featuring some familiar Moai statues from around the swamp!

Is it alpha or just vibes? Things were anything but boring on Thursday as major cryptos nuked back to the Stone Age, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club shared a photo of Gary taking a stroll next to some giant head statues!
“Bored Ape Yacht Club,” Garga tweeted. “(monuments circa 13th century, photograph from Gary's recent vacation)”
In the photo, three of the four giant head statues clearly resemble the BAYC mascot Curtis, along with Yuga Labs Co-Founders Gordon Goner and Garga.

After the BAYC shared this photo from Gary’s vacation, many primates began speculating on whether this is alpha for ApeFest or just awesome art.
While only time will tell where ApeFest 2025 will be held, we do know that today’s new work is the third new piece of art since Yuga Labs brought Groowut to the swamp as the company’s Creative Art Lead on February 18th!
Take a look at Groowut’s BAYC-themed art below:
As we wait for more information on where ApeFest 2025 will take place, one thing is certain. The timeline will probably be seeing a lot more BAYC-themed art from Groowut going forward!
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Groowut’s work and keep you updated when more information about ApeFest 2025 becomes available. Stay tuned for updates!
