SPOTLIGHT: This Web3 Artist And IRL Yoga Instructor Is Making Apes More Flexible And Pixelated!

This Bored Ape Yacht Club member and Web3 artist is an in-real-life yoga instructor who's combining his two passions to create art that’s anything but boring!

As Bored Ape Yacht Club members ape in and out of random projects, presales, and memes in search of generational wealth, artist Peekcell is reimagining his fellow Apes as pixelated crouching primates in a pose inspired by his yoga roots.

“Funny thing with that squat,” Peekcell told the Gazette. “Apart from being a pixel artist I am also a yoga and movement teacher and one of the most important positions I teach and try to get people comfortable in is the "deep squat" - the one you see the ape in. I do spend a good amount of time a day in this position, so it was a no brainer for me.”

Peekcell’s squatting edits quickly caught on around the swamp with Apes wanting to master this deep squat.

Reimaging Bored Apes in a pixelated form is nothing new for Peekcell. In Novemeber 2023, his mini edits made waves around the swamp and even kick started a new business for him!
