SPOTLIGHT: This Bored Ape Will Be Making His Debut On The Small Screen Later This Year

This Bored Ape Yacht club member is getting ready to make his small screen debut after he signed his first movie deal last month.

On May 27th, BAYC member Rzubi.Eth announced that his primate, Bored Ape #2758, has landed its first acting role.

“BAYC #2758 just signed a movie deal through Pirexia Films, Rzubi tweeted. “From the Director of El Chapo @netflix JM Cravioto. More to come in the next few weeks! First NFT actor in a Mexican film with SAG equivalent salary!”

Following Rzubi’s post, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to him and found out that he is an Executive Producer at a Mexican production house called Pirexia Films, and that they’re working on a rom-com that will feature his Bored Ape.

“This year we partnered with a very famous production house from Hollywood and secured a romantic comedy which we are in the process of filming. It’s about a social media influencer that suddenly loses all her accounts, and her boyfriend breaks up with her and she has to rediscover life without social media… We decided to include the BAYC, which in the movie is going to be called Scully Joe, as a super famous social media influencer that hosts incredible parties and a very important scene happens in his house.”

Rzubi went on to say that Bored Ape #2758 being in the film is not a gimmick and that his primate has signed a SAG-equivalent salary and is a member of the movie cast like everyone else.

“He will appear in the premier as a digital actor, interview with people and have the same rights as every actor in the movie even though he is an NFT,” Rzubi said.

Currently, the movie is in production and Rzubi believes that the people will be able to watch the film by January 2024.
