SPOTLIGHT: This BAYC Member Will Be Handing Out Golden Bored Ape Tokens At ApeFest!

Forget a penny for your thoughts—this Bored Ape Yacht Club member will be giving out a physcial gold coins to Apes he connects with at ApeFest 2024!

After making tons of connections with his sticker-covered Ape jacket at ApeFest 2023, BAYC member SuperBars decided to mint hundreds of physical tokens featuring his Ape, Bored Ape #6767, to hand out to frens, both old and new, at this year’s event.

 

“If you see me at #ApeFest, you will get one of these. (As long as I have some left) It actually has great value,” he tweeted along with a video of the gold Ape token.

 

SuperBars explained that the design of his golden coins was inspired by the BAYC gold tokens scattered around ApeFest 2023's main event. He hopes these coins will be a fun way to introduce himself to fellow primates.

“When we got the gold tokens with BAYC last year I remember that people really wanted it,” he said. “So that made me think this was a great way to network and connect to new people.”

SuperBars is bringing over 200 golden tokens to ApeFest but told the Gazette he’s worried that might not be enough!

Apes who meet SuperBars and get their hands on his coins should hold on to them, as he plans to add utility to the physical tokens in the future. “This golden coin also unlocks something special that will be revealed to those who get it,” he hinted. “Time will tell.”
