From etched on the blockchain to tatted on his arm, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member Phin is never leaving the swamp—and now he has the ink to prove it!
BAYC member Phin had an insane Mutant Monday after sharing a photo of his first BAYC-themed tattoo, featuring his longtime primate lounging in the swamp while cracking open an ice-cold M2 Mutant Serum!
“Bored Ape Tattoo Club.” he tweeted along with a pic of tattoo!
"I got this tattoo because the Club has become such a huge part of who I am,” Phin told the Gazette. “My crazy eyed Bored Ape is my permanent Web3 identity, and I wanted him to also be a part of me/ with me wherever I go- forever!”
The layers and connection to BAYC culture and lore run as deep as the ink. Phin’s tattoo blends boredom and insanity, depicting his primate, Bored Ape #9200, lounging peacefully with a vial of Mutant Serum in hand. The design was originally sketched by club legend and Yuga Labs Associate Art Director, Lovans.
“The inspiration for the design came from the idea of an Ape chilling on a trippy Otherdeed sipping serums, shaded under a banana tree,” Phin said.”I thought that would be a really peaceful way for a Bored Ape to spend his days. Lovans brought that idea to life beautifully when he originally drew that idea a few months back for me.”
After Phin shared the photo of his tattoo on the timeline, BAYC members flooded the comments to congratulate him!
BAYC member Reaper even added Phin to the exclusive Tatted Apes Group Chat, filled with permanent club members who've been getting Ape tattoos since June 6th, 2021—just a month after the BAYC mint!
