Since the Spotlight program kicked off, Apes and $Apes have been working together to fine-tune the point system and max out their on-chain degeneracy, putting up big personal scores and eight-figure point totals for their favorite collection in just the initiative's first two days!

When this season’s Spotlight program ends, the top 10 NFT collections will earn a floor sweep. 1st place will receive a $100,000 sweep, 2nd will get a $50,000 sweep, 3rd will get a $25,000 sweep, and 4th through 10th will each get a $10,000 floor sweep.

ApeCoin’s Spotlight program has not only brought WAGMI style fun and gamification to ApeChain’s NFT market but also higher floor prices, which everyone loves to see, with just about every collection going up today!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, ApeChain’s Spotlight program was first announced during ApeFest 2024, the morning after Yuga Labs unveiled the launch of ApeChain.

This program highlights one dApp at a time, giving $Ape holders the chance to earn rewards made possible by the 100 million $Ape Banana Bill.

 

“Spotlight is the ApeChain points and loyalty program, and we are flipping the points meta on its head,” ApeCoin Special Council Member Waabam said at the time. “Rather lots of different games and dApps, on Spotlight we are going to focus on one dApp at a time. Its simple. Its fun, and tasks will be enjoyable to complete. The other thing we are doing with Spotlight is that the rewards will not be ApeCoin…Instead we are leveraging the Banana Bill and the different commercial agreements that were made and those will be the rewards on Spotlight.”
