Web3 degens looking for a fright this Halloween should skip the classics like Nightmare on Elm Street and The Shiningand instead tune into last year's Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode, which pokes fun at the blockchain, NFTs, and Bored Apes!

Nothing is scarier than the Web3 world, and The Simpsons brilliantly satirized the community and Non-Fungible Tokens in its 34th annual Halloween episode last year!

The episode opens with Bart tokenizing himself onto the blockchain, which is depicted as a “block train” similar to the one in Snowpiercer, where higher-valued NFTs and tokens sit at the front while rugs and worthless JPEGs live in the back.

From there, Marge Simpson tokenizes herself and battles various NFTs, like CryptoKitties and Doodles, to level up her value and rescue her son!
