SATURDAY SWEEP: Animoca Brand's Chairman Yat Siu Purchased Four Bored Apes For $335K USD

Animoca Brand’s chairman, Yat Siu, swept the floor of the club he loves on Saturday as he aped into four new primates!

During today’s floor sweep, Siu spent 186.2232 Eth or $335,000 USD on four new Bored Apes.

Today's sweep isn't the first wave that Siu has made around the swamp in recent weeks. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Siu announced that he would not be seeking a second term on the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council earlier this month.

“I am vacating the spot for others which I think is appropriate,” Siu told the Gazette on May 7th. “My role was to assist in onboarding the new SC members to transition in some new blood but will always be there to serve in other ways!”

While Siu's term on the ApeCoin Special Council will end this summer, Siu has assured the Gazette that he and his company are in this community for the long haul.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Animoca Brands is working with Yuga Labs on The Legends of The Mara game and Siu told the Gazette in April that he and his company have plans to release more Bored games in the future.

“We are excited about our partnership with Yuga and are committed on continuing to contribute to the Ape ecosystem as a whole including more content and games,” Siu said on April 3rd.

Following today’s floor sweep, Siu now holds six Bored Apes, one Mutant Ape, one Bored Ape Kennel Club Dog, five Otherdeeds, three Kodas, two CryptoPunks, and five Vessels, between his ysiu.eth and 0xB967D330BD47a45B0746025BA3CF76b8a9988106 Wallets.
