The ApeChain ecosystem has a lot of questions for Yuga Labs Vice President of Blockchain, 0xQuit, who casually teased that he’s working on an ApeChain project of his own over the weekend!

Things were anything but boring on Saturday after Geez On Ape Founder Rida made an appreciation post for devs launching cool tech art mints on ApeChain, highlighting folks like James Hall and his Gobs On Ape/Mintotasurs, Bad Teeth and his ASHITA NO KAZE, and Frosty and his Fade project.
After Rida’s tweet, 0xQuit jumped into the comment section and teased that he’s working on something. “Hoping to join this list soon,” he simply tweeted.
At the time of this article’s publication, we don’t know what 0xQuit is working on, how his potential mint will work, or how Apes and $Apes can get it. But we do know it has something to do with ‘dark,’ based on a follow-up post.

While details remain scarce, 0xQuit has been busy building on ApeChain over the last six months.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, 0xQuit was the architect behind Yuga Labs’ Shadow tech, which made it possible for NFTs on Ethereum Mainnet to be recognized on ApeChain and other L2s.
“What does it mean to have your assets anywhere,” 0xQuit tweeted earlier this year. “Projects can reward NFT communities completely onchain, regardless of what chain they launch on. New project founders don't have to fuss about which chain they launch on - they can be on all of them. And as a user, your UX improves as well. You can easily move your asset across chains, to any chain where Shadows are supported. This enables trading, NFTFi, and any other use cases that require full ERC721 functionality.”
Along with this technical feat, 0xQuit also built two contract based ApeChain games.
The first was a player-vs-player double-or-nothing game, where participants sent $Ape to a contract and either doubled up or lost their coins.
The second game, dubbed ApeBomb, was a larger-scale “provably fair turbo-degen product,” where anyone could send $Ape to a contract for a chance to win 100,000 $Ape!
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow 0xQuit and let you know when more information about his upcoming project becomes available. Stay tuned for updates!
