Project Dragon's Blockchain Interactions Will Run On ApeChain!

Many community members will have their first ApeChain interactions this Saturday as they make their way to Otherside’s Meetropolis for Project Dragon!

After Yuga Labs shared a new teaser trailer for its highly anticipated action game series Project Dragon on Tuesday, the ApeCoin DAO reveled in some copy pasta fun and revealed that this weekend’s “guns, mayhem, and jank” will be going down on ApeChain!

“I just ordered pizza and a 2L of soda,” the ApeCoin DAO wrote. “I loaded up Project Dragon on my laptop. No school tomorrow. My parents don't care if you stay up all night long. A perfect summer night. I am 69 years old. The year is 2024. Project Dragon’s blockchain interactions will run on ApeChain.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO’s second ApeChain testnet, dubbed Curtis Testnet, launched last Tuesday. $Apes, Apes, and Web3 enthusiasts were invited to check it out.

While this testnet is primarily for developers to prepare for their mainnet launches, $Apes and Apes can expect fun things like Yuga Labs’ Project Dragon game this Saturday and more to happen on the ApeChain testnet leading up to the mainnet launch.

“There is stuff that’s coming on in the next few weeks,” Horizen Labs’ Blockchainzilla told the Gazette during this week’s Bored Ape Gazette live Spaces. “The two major Dexs who are going to be on ApeChain will be there, note I said two. Some of the things that have been passed (by the DAO) already are getting on there. I know Koko is hard at work on Ape Express. Some of the gameplay in various forms is getting on there as well. There will start to be things that you can do as a user over the next couple of weeks.”

 

Everyone in the $Ape ecosystem should always keep an eye out for opportunities to ape onto ApeChain’s testnet, as early adopters may be rewarded, according to Blockchainzilla.

“Testnets are for developers at the end of the day, but developers want people to go and test what they are doing,” he said. “It’s kind of like early access to stuff. You should absolutely be going on, playing around with stuff, and getting excited. I think there are always benefits to being early. I don’t know exactly what everyone’s plans are, but often times people reward people who have ben with them from Testnets.”
