POP IN: Yuga Labs Is Hosting Another Bubbles Hangout In Otherside Next Week—And Everyone’s Invited To Float Along!

The crypto world will pop out of its Twitter bubble and float into Otherside next week for Yuga Labs’ second-ever public test of its Bubbles Hangout space tech — and everyone is invited to join!

Next Thursday, everyone in the swamp, $Ape ecosystem, and broader Web3 world is invited to pop in and hang out during Yuga Labs’ second test of Bubbles — Otherside’s native version of Twitter Spaces, a feature that quite literally takes place in a bubble!

“Voyagers, Bubbles are back for round 2,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account today. “Come try it out in the next public test on December 12 from 2 - 4 PM ET. No NFT required. Anyone with a Yuga ID can join. To create one, go to http://launch.otherside.xyz, and sign in with your Twitter account.”

 

 

If next week’s event is anything like the first Bubbles test, the community can expect to float into the sky alongside hundreds of their frens, take in breathtaking views of the Otherside, and try out all sorts of bubble-themed emotes. All while  popular Space hosts from around the swamp will lead bored conversations inside literal  bubbles!

Apes, Meebits, and Kodas can join as their NFTs, while Mutants will play as the Mutant version of Curtis, also known as Murtis. Otherdeed holders and everyone else from across Web3 who wants to experience this will explore as Voyager Robots — as long as they have a Yuga ID.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs first introduced Bubbles at ApeFest 2024.

We want Otherside to be the default place you go to hang out with your friends in Web3” Garga said during his keynote speech in October. “That means games but it also means fun sticky social features…. We are opening up a feature for testing today called Bubbles. This is our little version of Twitter spaces or Discord stages. This has been one of our most requested features like a special voice chat for interviews, podcasts, and just like adventuring and hanging with your friends. But we didn’t just want to make a little conference room like you’d see in other metaverses. So, we added our own little twist on it. When you start a bubble, you literally float up in the air and you’ll be inside an effervescent bubble with your crew. I think it’s pretty fucking fun.”
