POKER FACE: Bicycle Playing Cards' Bored Ape Yacht Club Community Deck Debuts Tomorrow!
As Bicycle Cards gets ready to deal its most boring deck of playing cards ever tomorrow, the historic brand has teamed up with the Bored Ape Not Club to help the community put on their poker faces and celebrate the new collection!
“It's Pre-Sale Week," Bicycle tweeted this afternoon. “We debut our @BoredApeYC Community Playing Cards TOMORROW and to start the week off hot our frens @BoredApeNotClub helped us create an Original Red/Blue Playing Card Generator so you can join in the fun! Head to http://gen.boredapenotclub.com and show us yours.”
“It was awesome working with Bicycle Cards,” Bored Ape Not Club Co-founder Meirav told the Gazette. “The card backings are so iconic, and the brand has such a rich and interesting history that we were honored to be able to showcase them this way. We wanted to create something that would show off the brand but also feel fun and playful for the community, like we’re all playing a game of poker. Javi and I also added our apes as tiny angels in the card design and really appreciated their openness to our ideas. I feel like Bicycle cards is really tapping into the culture of the apes and I love what they’re doing with this drop.”
