PASSED: The ApeCoin DAO Will Allocate 6K $Ape To Be Used As Rewards On Dropverse's Platform

The ApeCoin DAO overwhelmingly approved an Ape Improvement Proposal to allocate 6,000 $Ape over the next year to Dropvere’s “Pokemon Go” Style platform.

4.5 million $Ape coins were cast in favor of funding AIP-105 titled “ApeCoin Drops in the Real World,” by the company Dropverse.

“Definitely excited,” Dropverse told the Gazette after the vote. “It’s awesome to get the blessing of the Bored Ape Community and we think it’s only the beginning of a productive long-term relationship.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Dropverse is an app that “transforms the world into a digital playground, allowing you to navigate the world to find collectibles, complete challenges, and earn rewards,” according to the company’s website.

Dropverse plans to distribute the 6,000 $Ape over the next 12 months as rewards to its users.

“Distributing ApeCoin via the Dropverse platform will bring new holders into the ecosystem, educate new audiences about the benefits of ApeCoin, and help incentivize behaviors beneficial to the broader ApeCoin Community,” Dropverse wrote in its proposal.
