Apes are pumping, NFTs are catching a bid, and this longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member made a trippy trade on a party primate—just as the music turns back on in Web3!

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is back in business as floor prices surge, with grails and aesthetic primates being snapped up left and right. Amidst the shuffle, longtime BAYC member and self-proclaimed “FlipGod” Larry Lawliet aped into a trippy fur Bored Ape for 34.9749 ETH or $129,600 USD.

“Hey, ape fams, I should not miss the party, right? #BoredApe,” Lawliet tweeted along with a photo of his new Ape, Bored Ape #5895.

 

Lawliet’s new primate is Bored Ape #5895, a seven-trait trippy fur primate with a party hat, navy stripe t shirt, and a silver hoop earring. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #5895 is the 371st rarest Ape, according to Magic Eden.

“Just trust NFT will be the main form of collection in the future,” Lawliet told the Gazette after his purchase. “t0 is punks and t1 is BAYC, no others.”
