ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Would Let The DAO's Working Groups Request Longer Term Funding.

The ApeCoin DAO's first Governance Working Group Steward and the lead architect of the DAO's current Working Group structure, has an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this cycle that will give working Group’s the option to propose longer term budgets.

AIP-421 titled ‘Enable Annual Working Group Budget Proposals,’ is a process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and former Governance Working Group Steward Amplify.

In AIP-421, Amplify wrote that he wants to change the current Working Group structure of AIP-239, that limited a Working Group’s Lead to proposing a six month budget twice a year, to give them more flexibility and the option to propose longer term budgets.

“This AIP, if passed, would simply afford Working Group Leads the flexibility to submit budgets for a term of their choosing (not limited to 1 year), regardless of whichever Funding Window they choose,” he wrote.

 

AIP-421 would not cost the DAO anything and would  be implemented when the window for Working Group’s to request funding opens in August 2024.

 

The window to vote on AIP-421 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, May 29th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
