ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Wants To Turn Apes Into Farmers That Grow Their Own Food!

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this cycle that aims to bring literal farming to ApeChain and Web3 with a 'grow2earn' product and platform that will reward community members for growing their own food, making healthy choices, and leaving the world better than we found it.

AIP-444, titled "Growing Wellness: Home Harvest’s Billion-Dollar Opportunity to Improve the Way We Live & Eat, Powered by Grow2Earn," is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor Wedge.

"Growing Wellness™: Home Harvest’s billion-dollar opportunity to improve the way we live and eat, powered by the grow2earn model and $GROW protocol,” Wedge wrote. “The world’s first token reward scheme to incentivize home ‘farmers’ on their sustainable farming journey (yes, become a real farmer), enable a healthier way of living and a share in the carbon-offset rewards that come from saving the food industry at the same time. Growing Wellness’ business revolves around a physical ‘smart farm’ device that grows food in eight days alongside a platform and app that helps people make healthy choices.

“Our indoor ‘smart farms’ unlock professional growing results for the mass market, allowing consumers to grow and harvest hundreds of varieties of superfoods, leafy greens and herbs within just 8 days of planting,” Wedge wrote. “Healthy living and healthy planet. Our value proposition massively reduces consumer cost, food waste, food miles and transportation carbon emissions while delivering the very healthiest of produce directly into the homes of consumers around the world.”

 

To bring Growing Wellness to market, Wedge is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $2 million USD worth of $Ape to AIP-444.

Growing Wellness will benefit the ApeCoin ecosystem by giving $Apes a token airdrop, stamping every product with the brand’s MBA license, creating custom products for Apes and Mocas, giving community members first refusal when looking to hire, using ApeCoin as a payment option, hosting in real life events, and bringing more attention to $Ape.

The window to vote on AIP-444 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday July 31st to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
