From the Web3 world of blockchain to the Web2 domain of the net, there is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this cycle that hopes to give Bored Ape Yacht Club members easy-to-use website-building tools to amplify their Ape, look good doing it, and encourage brand cohesion across the swamp!
AIP-550 titled “ApeSites - A Tool for BAYC Communities to Create Customized Websites” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by BAYC member BabyPop.
“ApeSites aims to provide the BAYC community with an easy-to-use tool to create personalized websites for their groups, similar to Linktree or Bento,” he wrote. ”This tool will offer BAYC holders a way to assemble various components to showcase their brand and activities outside of traditional social media channels. ApeSites would be completely free to use.”
The ApeSites toolbox would feature visual editor tools to make website assembly easy, ready-made sections for Apes to plug their info into, integration with Web3 tools like Tokenproof, and other customization options. Every website will also be designed to function seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices.
“ApeSites will allow BAYC community members to amplify their impact by establishing high-quality, cohesive web presences,” BabyPop explained. “By making it easier for communities to build websites that look professional and reflect their unique culture, ApeSites will enhance the overall brand experience of BAYC and ApeCoin. Additionally, as ApeSites grows, the tool has potential to attract interest from other Web3 communities, who could join the ApeChain ecosystem in the future, helping to expand ApeCoin’s reach.”
To make ApeSites a reality, BabyPop is asking the DAO to allocate $25,000 USD worth of ApeCoin to the project. If passed, BabyPop expects ApeSites to be up and running in four months.
The window to vote on AIP-550 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, March 19th at 10 P.M. EST to cast their coins.
