ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Make It Easier To Shop Online With $Ape

The Forever Apes team has a new proposal on the ApeCoin DAO ballot this week that aims to make it easier to shop with $Ape!

AIP-212 titled “Forever Apes // Upgrade #7 // Enable Shopify to display $APE in eComm stores,” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by BAYC member and Forever Apes founder 12Gauge.

“eComm platforms including Shopify are currently limiting adoption of $APE by not supporting it as a displayed currency on products. This proposal presents the idea that the Forever Apes team develop a custom built plugin to address this issue and facilitate the integration of $APE into the displayed currency on Shopify product pages. This plugin will be available to retailers at NO COST and will immediately enhance the platform’s functionality, while increasing visibility and encouraging wider adoption amongst their 2 million plus DAU. We’re choosing to build this plugin on Shopify but recognize it caters to a mostly North American audience, we will expand the plugin’s availability to other eComm platforms once demand is proven.”

In total, 12Gauge is asking the DAO to allocate $25,000 USD to Forever Apes so they can create this $Ape plugin. 12Gauge also asked the DAO to tweet about this plugin at least once a month after its built.

If passed, 12Gauge and the Forever Apes team believe that they can have the $Ape plugin built and integrated into Shopify in 12 weeks.

The window to vote on AIP-212 opens tonight at 9 P.M. EST tonight and $Ape holders will have until next Wednesday, April 5th, to cast their coins.
