ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Find Out More About The DAO's Special Council

There is an ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to find out more about the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council and their work!

AIP-305 titled ‘Establishing Special Council’s Accountability Practices’ is a process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor Moonlyght.

“This AIP proposes to add a transparent process to the position of Special Council members from AIP-1in the form of Weekly reports,” Moonlyght wrote. “Including all current, forthcoming and future terms detailed in AIP-137 and AIP-138 .”

In AIP-305, Moonlyght proposed that the ApeCoin DAO ask each Special Council member to complete a weekly report where they will explain what they did or accomplished that week.

Further Moonlyght proposed the creation of a ‘transperacy hub’ on the DAO’s Discourse page.

“Weekly reports will enhance the ApeCoin ecosystem by fostering transparency and accountability,” Moonlyght wrote. “By sharing their tasks and achievements, the community gains awareness of each Special Council Member’s contributions, ensuring the most qualified individuals lead the DAO towards success. Increased awareness and communication lead to a stronger community and a better-positioned DAO.”

The window to vote on AIP-305 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors will have until Wednesday, September 27th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
