ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Create 1,000 Limited-Edition ApeCoin Shoes—And Turn A Profit For The DAO!

Kicks and coins are on the ballot this week as ApeCoin DAO contributors head to the polls to vote on an Ape Improvement Proposal that aims to create a limited-edition ApeCoin shoe—while also generating a profit for the DAO!

AIP-540, titled "Ape Shoes: An Affordable and Comfortable Approach for ROI within the DAO," is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal submitted by ApeCoin DAO contributor Evil.

 

“With Ape shoes, we plan to bring in high end line of casual shoes for a wide range of audience around $ape at a decent price range of $80 with 50% of the sale proceeding going back to the DAO as a ROI. This way DAO members can buy the product and pay for delivery without burning their pocket at the same time.”

 

In Evil’s proposal, he shared concept art for the sneakers and stated that, if approved, $Ape holders will have the final say in the design.

To bring these kicks to life, Evil is requesting $27,000 USD worth of $Ape to cover modeling, manufacturing, and distribution for 1,000 pairs of ApeCoin shoes. If the proposal passes, Evil anticipates the shoes will be available for purchase within three months.

The window to vote on AIP-540 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, February 12th to cast their coins.
