ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Aims To Add A Reputation System To The ApeCoin DAO
An Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week aims to add a reputation system to the ApeCoin DAO that highlights key members and metrics.
AIP-132 titled “Karma - Reputation system for ApeCoin governance contributors” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO contributor Mmurthy.
“To build a healthy and dynamic governance ecosystem, a DAO needs active contributors,” Mmurthy wrote. “It is in the best interest of the DAO to recognize the most active contributors, help token holders delegate to candidates that align with their beliefs, elect right delegates to various councils, potentially reward them and give them a way to showcase their contributions. Using Karma’s reputation system provides all these functionalities to ApeCoin DAO.”
For those who are unfamiliar with Karma and its platform, it is a system that “tracks and analyzes governance contributions, providing key tools to take data-driven actions that increase engagement and accountability while fostering DAO governance automation,” according to its website.
In total, Karma is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $10,000 USD to cover developer cost for “customizing dashboard, setup plugin and ongoing infrastructure and maintenance, according to the proposal. Karma also floated the idea of doing the work up front and being paid once its complete.
The window to vote on AIP-132 opens tonight at 9 P.M. EST. $Ape holders will have until next Wednesday, January 18th, to cast their $Ape!
