ON THE BALLOT: The Public Bored Aims To Expand Its Digital Billboards And Provide the DAO With A New Revenue Stream!

After showcasing $APE advertisements at NFC Lisbon, ETH Denver, and more, The Public Bored is back with another Ape Improvement Proposal that aims to make $APE synonymous with digital ads, expand its operations, and onboard more users to $APE, the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Mocaverse through its digital billboard tech!

AIP-515, titled The Public Bored - Phase 2, Take 2 (Resubmission), is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by ApeCoin DAO contributor and Public Bored founder MemeBrains.

“The Public Bored aims to make displaying content on any digital billboard in the world, as easy as sending a tweet,” MemeBrains wrote. “We discovered serious pain points in the billboard industry while owning a previous company. Our business model is a marketplace for billboard owners to increase their revenue and to open up access to a much larger TAM (total addressable market), like an AirBNB for digital billboards. Our path to $100M ARR is to expand to approximately 20 cities.”

 

In the proposal, MemeBrains outlines a 15-month plan to grow The Public Bored's business. Key milestones include launching the company’s first permanent digital billboard in Q1 2025, adding staff, developing an app for businesses to easily purchase and deploy ads, marketing campaigns, and more.

To do this, Memebrains is asking the DAO to allocate 250,000 dollars to the Public Bored.

To achieve these goals, MemeBrains is requesting a $250,000 allocation from the DAO. In return, the DAO will receive a 2.5% equity stake in The Public Bored, royalties, free display space for community use, and incentives for customers to pay using $APE.

“This AIP aims to increase the size of the DAO treasury by way of equity participation in a highly scalable business model, founded by two very active ApeCoin & Mocaverse community members with successful track records for building and selling companies at profit. Additionally, this AIP directly helps to onboard new community members into the DAO and provides significant exposure for the ApeCoin and Mocaverse ecosystems to venture capital and consumer markets.

 

The window to vote on AIP-515 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, November 20th to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
