Moonpay Purchased a Party Primate For 111 Eth or $366,000 USD

Crypto payment company Moonpay is ready to party after purchasing a party hat bored ape.

After onboarding Lil Durk to the BAYC last night, Moonpay went out and purchased Bored Ape #8708 for 111 Eth or 366,000 USD.

Bored Ape #8708 is a seven-trait black fur ape with a bored unshaven cigarette mouth, sunglasses and a party hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8708 is the 2108th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

“Who could this be for,” asked BAYC member Rice Farmer after Moonpay’s purchase.

While it is unknown who Bored Ape #8708 is for, BAYC members are excited to see who Moonpay brings into the swamp next.

As the Bored Ape Gazette has previously reported, Moonpay has onboarded several celebrities into the BAYC including Jimmy Fallon, Lil Baby, DJ Khalid, among others.

After today’s purchase, Moonpay now holds ten bored apes, one mutant ape and an M1 and M2 mutant serum.
