Thursday felt like Christmas morning around the swamp as $APE holders, ApeFest 2024 attendees, and Ape Accelerator supporters woke up to an exciting surprise—an airdrop of $MONKY on the Binance Smart Chain courtesy of the Floki and Ape Accelerator teams!

 

 

The airdrops ranged from 800,000 $MONKY (roughly $20 USD) for the 994,000 wallets holding at least one ApeCoin, to a jaw-dropping 107,066,381 $MONKY ($2,500 USD) for ApeFest 2024 attendees and those who voted on the Ape Accelerator AIP last year.

“It's just the beginning,” the Floki team tweeted from its $MONKY account after the airdrop.

 

The $MONKY token, created by the team behind Floki, launched on the Binance Smart Chain with an initial fully diluted market cap (FDV) of $10 million USD. Since its debut, $MONKY has skyrocketed, reaching an impressive FDV of $202 million—a 20x increase!

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, $MONKY isn’t just another primate-inspired token—it’s rooted in an ancient Japanese proverb and updated for a modern, crypto-native audience.
