MOIVE NIGHT: A 2023 PBS Documentary On NFTs Is Streaming For free On PBS And It Looks Like Apes Get A Lot Of Screen Time!

Writer: KyleKyle

From On-Chain to On-Demand: A 2023 PBS documentary on NFTs is streaming for free on PBS right now and it looks like Bored Apes get quite a bit of screen time!

If you're planning a movie night around the swamp, check out BAYC member BitBoyJay’s X account. On Saturday, the longtime BAYC holder asked the timeline if they’d be watching Minted: THE RISE (AND FALL?) OF THE NFT, a documentary whose cover art features a Bored Ape derivative hanging next to the Mona Lisa.

The film was a Tribeca Film Festival official selection and offers  “an insider’s look at the rise and fall of the NFT (non-fungible token) phenomenon and how technology transformed the traditional art world, for better and worse. Featuring verité footage and candid interviews with groundbreaking artists—like Beeple, Latasha Alcindor, and Loish— at the center of this phenomenon, Minted delves into the complex world of the $40 billion NFT digital art market,” according the PBS.

Everyone can watch the 76-minute film on PBS’ website here: https://www.pbs.org/independentlens/documentaries/minted/

Or you can watch it  PBS’ YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgUEBEs12AY

The Bored Ape Gazette will be watching the documentary soon and will bring you a full report on what the film says about Apes and the future of NFTs next week. Stay tuned for updates!
